How do you maintain the blade and how easy is it to clean?
It is recommended to gently clean after each use with the included brush. It is recommended to oil the blade with a few drops of oil before and after use — this keeps it sharp and prevents it from overheating. It is important to note that the body of the machine is not waterproof.
What is zero-gap and how do you adjust it?
Zero Gap is the adjustment of the blade to a zero line – the distance between the stationary and moving blade is reduced to 0.2mm, allowing for a close cut to the skin and sharp, defined lines. The machine comes pre-adjusted from the factory. If you wish to change it, the included Phillips screwdriver allows for precise adjustment without additional tools.
What's the difference between a DLC blade and a regular blade?
DLC – Diamond-Like Carbon Coating – is many times harder than regular steel. The blade wears slower, stays sharper for longer, and maintains the zero-gap adjustment even after extensive use. Most premium trimmers come with a DLC blade – in POSEIDON, it's standard.
